UV-C light is able to kill 99.9% of many different things. Some of the most common are C-Diff, Influenza, Bacteriopfage – E.Coli, MRSA Pathogens, Infectious Hepatitus, Mold, Algae, Roundworms, Anthrax Spores, Clostridium Tetani, Ebertelia Typhosa, Escherichia Coli, Leptospiracanicola – infectious jaundice, salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella typhosa – typhoid fever, and more..

The Corona Virus, also known as COVID-19 is a new virus. Since we have not seen any research with Ultraviolet light and the Corona Virus, we cannot say. However, it has been effective in killing up to 99.9% of influenza, MRSA and E. Coli.

Of the 3 ultraviolet wavelengths, A, B and C, C is the strongest. This light initiates a reaction between 2 molecules, one of the bases that make up DNA. UV-C destroys the molecular bonds that hold their DNA together.

UV emits harmful UV rays during operation only. All humans, pets and plants are removed from the room during use. We use a technology that allows us to remote activate our equipment when it is disinfecting a whole room and we wear protective eyewear and clothing when using any handheld devices. Once the bulb is turned off, there is no lingering UV light or effect.

It all depends on what you want to sanitize. Most people will want to kill up to 99.9% of viruses and bacteria which takes about 15 minutes in a medium sized room. Bigger rooms will require more machines and time.

UV-C light works on surfaces that its light touches.

You clear the room of all people, pets and plants. You will want to pick up all items from the floor. If it is a bedroom, we recommend stripping all bedding and turning off fans. At your discretion, you may provide keys to lock doors so that no entry happens during sanitization.

• We wear safety gear, secure the room, making sure all people, pets and plants have been removed and warning signs are placed on all entrances.

• UV-C Machines are strategically placed for maximum benefit.

• UV-C Machine is remotely armed with a remote control. Session times cary depending on what is being sterilized and your needs throughout the room.

• Following whole room session, we then sterilize using a separate handheld intense UV-C light, focusing on high tough surfaces such as doorknobs, switches, computers, etc.

• 10 minutes of airing out time are given to let all smells from the process abate.
